I always liked to read and study my language and at school I also got high grades, I then chose other subjects simply because at a higher school level English becomes mainly literature and I was never a great fan of Shakespeare (ironically I later lived in Stratford upon Avon for a few years).
Since I moved to Italy I have frequently been asked to help friends with translations or at least checking translations. I confess that I quite enjoy this and indeed for my company MIR I helped with loads of brochures and press releases so I became quite prolific.
