Well I have been enjoying a few relaxed days in the UK almost without rain and when the weather is fine, England is glorious.
This Museum is a staggering day out and SOOOOO well laid out and organized!!!!
You must NOT miss this place. It is a totally excellent experience and we should all learn more about the people that saved us from a terrible defeat in the Second World War. The Battle of Britain recreation is so well done, the recreated Ops Room reduced me to tears.
It is not a cheap day out as adult tickets start at 25 Pounds and there is a very small reduction for children so a family of 4 is looking at 80 Pounds. BUT as education it is priceless and so well explained.
You really need a full day to get round. There are five massive hangers and each need at least two hours just to walk round and there is a fair walk from one hanger to the next.
In one of the areas you see guys working on aircraft and they were happy to chat and to show you what they are working on. I visited a few days after an air show so they were busy changing oil and stuff, fantastic!!
