Is your garage big enough?? HOW many bikes have you got now?? Surely this one is FAR too fast for you at your very advanced age? These and many far ruder comments have been heard from my mates as the news creeps out about my latest folly but I say what the heck, she is stunning!!!
Bring on the Yamaha MT10. Feast yer eyes on this beauty, I was totally unable to resist her charms (as usual). The Yamaha MT10 is a bike I know and love, Over the past years I have owned two and wow they are amazing. This one is an older bike first registered in 2016 as well as high mileage (for the UK) so she is at 50k kms. But will you just look at the condition of this bike, she looks almost new!!
The Yamaha MT10 was launched in 2016 and has always sold well. The bike has a detuned version of the famous crossplane (big bang) R1 engine and produces about 160 bhp (down from the R1s 200 bhp) and is called a hyper naked bike in other words it does not have a protective fairing like the R1 which is a true sports bike. Basically she is therefore much more comfortable to ride as your weight is NOT all on your wrists, the riding position is more sitting up but of course you have a fair old wind blast at speed.
So is this bike a good buy, I hear you ask?. Well I think so yes as she is in fantastic condition with a full service history, a new MT10 today will cost you upwards of 14k UKP and Martin is letting me have this one for 6.5k UKP so I simply could not resist the deal. On Tuesday I will collect her so watch this space (as they say), loads of fun to come!!!
STOP PRESS…..I just purchased a Puig screen which should keep some of the wind blast off me, I will fit that after the journey home. This is a seriously fast machine so I think that a minimum of protection is a good idea.
