Well what has happened over the previous two weeks is little short of amazing. I visit the UK several times per year and indeed I divide my time between the UK (mainly Cambridge and the Midlands) and Italy (Viterbo, Roma and Amalfi) and I also love to visit France and Spain. Europe is fantastic and I am VERY angry and sad that the UK left the EU but such is life. Thanks Boris et al.

I stay in contact with family as well as many mates from Land Rover where I worked in Solihull but I had over the years lost contact with many old mates from my college days. I scraped through my Business Studies degree at Coventry Lanchester Poly cos I was too thick to get into University. In those days all first year students could rent a room in the Halls of Residence and then for the remaining years you had to live out so with several mates we went to see an estate agent (Joshi Estates) and he took us to a decent house in Exhall which is about 4 miles north from the city centre. We stayed for 3 years, very happily.

We were four official house residents, Ben a designer from ooop north, Simon (thats me), Jim a bad tempered Scouse and Mark but as you can imagine the house also accomodated loads of mates and girls from time to time. I saw Ben recently (after about 40 years) and I am in contact with Mark who lives in Perth (Down Under) but will visit the UK in May.

We have also found Tim, Robbo, Alan and Pete who were all part of our college group and we started swapping photos and stories from those days. We plan to meet up in the UK in May so wish us luck and watch this space, a few photos will follow!!
