As a wise Pete commented prior to the event, it would be like waking up after 40 years and meeting your mates as old men hahaha. True. And you too are an old man now of course Pete.
Our planned meeting came together in the Midlands last weekend and WHAT an amazing get together it turned out to be, it was almost as if time had never passed and we were still the same idiots that we were some 40 years ago. We were a total of 8 so Simon (thats me), Little Pete, Big Al, Robbo, Tim, Father Ben and then our Aussie criminal mates Mark and Fris (who were over in Europe so we planned the meeting around them as I guess that they were out for a few weeks for good behaviour?).
I had seen Alan and Ben quite recently as well as Tim but I had not met up with the other 4 since we left Coventry so er a few years ago to say the least. We therefore did not fully know what to expect after all this time but no sweat it was almost as if we were still sharing the house at college!!!
We met in my favourite boozer in the Midlands and the food, beer and rooms really did the trick as a venue and then we also visited the nearby Triumph factory as well as a motorcycle dealer to continue our chats. Happy days and a few pics follow of the motley crew.
Memory Lane has never produced so many smiles and laughs, thanks guys and we MUST do it again!!
