We purchased a new VW Tiguan 2.0TDi in 2014 from Valentino Volkswagen in Roma. The car had been registered a few months earlier so the price was very good, 25k Euro instead of the list price of 32k Euro.
The choice was therefore limited, white with some options such as park assist and some other stuff but without cruise control (which I wanted) so when I managed to retrofit cruise the car became really GREAT in my view. The Tiguan is basically a Golf with a taller body so very comfortable and also great on fuel (we get about 17km/litre), plus loads of room for people and luggage. Over these 12 years she has proved VERY reliable and has never let us down, indeed the car now has 150k kms and still drives great.
I fitted Vredstein 4 season tyres to replace the original terrible Goodyears which were so hard the car did not like taking corners in the cold or wet, the car now drives great all year round. I have added nothing except new tyres and annual servicing and some TLC of course, always good. This year after 12 years of faithful service the aircon compressor gave up, and more recently the car has a problem with fuel pressure which I must resolve so after these 12 years she has some things to fix but not bad for 150k kilometres I think.
Overall an excellent car and good for several more years and miles I think! A few generic pics follow.
