With fingers firmly crossed that the Russian army do not invade Western Europe and that COVID keeps its very nasty head down, I am busy planning my 2023, following our almost three year long stay- home hiatus. Not strictly true as we escaped in 2022 a bit. Watch this space!!!

My Vito and I prepare for our next UK trip…
My new-to-me 2017 Mercedes Vito 116 gets better as I get to know her more and I start to work out all of the clever tech that she has onboard. For instance I now know almost all of the functions on the dashboard (and there are loads) and I am really enjoying the excellent combinationContinue reading “My Vito and I prepare for our next UK trip…”
New Waxoyl spray, what a fantastic product..
Many years ago my Dad and I used to apply Waxoyl to his car once or twice a year. He always used to run British cars and I remember several Morris and Austins culminating in his Austin 3 Litre and then a lovely Rover SD1 V8S and so on, Dad was very faithful to UK-builtContinue reading “New Waxoyl spray, what a fantastic product..”
My new Vito, what a van…
I recently drove to Italy from the UK with my new-to-me Mercedes Vito and goodness, WHAT a van. This Vito was delivered in 2017 to the Mercedes Maclaren Formula One team in the UK to support the race team throughout Europe so she is LHD but with British number plates in special order colour MercedesContinue reading “My new Vito, what a van…”
Has mighty Honda lost the plot (a bit)??
I have always loved and admired Honda motorcycles ever since I was a kid, at 14 I bought a rather tired 50cc C100 Cub for riding in the fields (it snapped in half and I had to get the frame welded back togather by our local blacksmith). I had a 1978 Honda 750 Four K6Continue reading “Has mighty Honda lost the plot (a bit)??”
The Honda CB1000R, what a great bike!
I bought my 2018 Honda CB1000R three years ago during the COVID dreaded lockdown so I have been able to use her very little so far. In the UK this model never had great sales and thus the value for money was amazing, I paid less than 7k Pounds for this lovely example with onlyContinue reading “The Honda CB1000R, what a great bike!”
I cannot believe how much fun my little Honda CRF250 is!!
Well, horses for courses and all that. I LOVE motorcycles and I currently have 4 bikes, I recently realised that my stunning R1 was er just a bit faster than me so I decided to trade her back to Martin before I got too carried away!. I have owned and loved several R1s including oneContinue reading “I cannot believe how much fun my little Honda CRF250 is!!”

Meeting Rocket Ron and Leon Haslam!!!!
Back in 2015 I was helping some mates at RunxFun to run a stand at Bike Expo in Roma and on the nearby Aprilia stand I spotted their two official WSB riders signing autographs for a massive queue of fans. I went over to say hello as I recognized Leon Haslam and I helped himContinue reading “Meeting Rocket Ron and Leon Haslam!!!!”
A very Happy Brian rides up from Bergamo to sunny Bedrock on his new Honda VFR1200F…
I met up with my mate Brian recently in Bergamo in the north of Italy. We planned this trip two months before when Brian decided to purchase my 2012 Honda VFR, he had been without a bike for several years and finally decided that he wanted one for trips with mates. Of course he canContinue reading “A very Happy Brian rides up from Bergamo to sunny Bedrock on his new Honda VFR1200F…”
